TrainM8 presents #Gimme1000

Join us in our efforts to get 1,000 people to complete 1,000,000 reps and raise €100,000 for Pieta House and the Irish Cancer Society

About Gimme1000

“Gimme1000” is a virtual event that will take place on Saturday, 20th February 2021.

Participants will be challenged to complete 1,000 reps of an exercise of their choice within a 24 hour period.

Common examples include push ups, squats, burpees and lunges. However, we are encouraging everyone to get creative and have left it open to interpretation as to how each participant will choose to give their own unique 1,000.

The past year has been tough on all of us, not least on the fundraising efforts of two incredible charities in The Irish Cancer Society and Pieta House. These two organizations have touched all our lives and the tireless, daily work they do has lasting effects on people’s lives across the country. Unfortunately, due to ever present COVID restrictions, they both have been unable to run their respective flagship events, Daffodil Day & Darkness into Light, for the second year in a row.

These two events are a vital source of funds to keep the essential service that they provide up and running. Now more than ever it is important to stay active and look after our physical and mental wellbeing. We hope that you will join us in this great initiative to get active whilst raising much needed funds for two truly great causes.

Last year we raised €55,000.

This year join us in our efforts to get 1,000 people to complete 1,000,0000 reps and raise €100,000!

About TrainM8

TrainM8 started as an initiative driven by three, Dublin based health and fitness enthusiasts, Conor McGinn, Robert Connolly and Declan Monaghan.

Our mission is to empower the people of Ireland to achieve their overall health goals by providing them access to trusted health and fitness professionals.

Our vision, is to create a community where people of all walks of life can achieve the feeling of health through personalised mental and physical training.

The TrainM8 platform was founded in the closing days of 2020. We anticipated that there would be a large number of people who would appreciate some extra guidance around staying fit and healthy when we were faced with the prospect of further COVID-19 restrictions. So, we took to social media to start making our mark on the fitness industry. Our aim on that front is, and will continue to be, to bring content which will be of practical use to social media users in setting and achieving sustainable health and fitness goals. If you haven’t visited our page yet, get over and give us a follow @trainm8.

We are extremely excited to extend our online presence by launching this website and running the #Gimme1000 charity initiative in February, 2021. In the near future, we plan to bring positive and lasting change to the health and fitness industry in Ireland by connecting people to the experts that will help them achieve their goals, while promoting the great work that is being done by Irish based health and fitness professionals across the island.

Watch this space for what’s to come!
